One of the most common questions when repairing a cylinder head is which valve seal guide is correct. There are two types for the Cummins 6B: seals 3921640, which are older; and the 3957912 seals which are more modern. The first ones were assembled on the 6B engines until April 2003 and the second ones, called "Top Hat", began to be marketed from that same date. Normally the most modern tend to go in Komatsu engines. If you have any question, don't hesitate to contact us.

Una de las cuestiones más comunes a la hora de reparar una culata es qué retén de válvula es el correcto. Existen dos tipos para los Cummins 6B: los retenes 3921640 que son más antiguos; y los retenes 3957912 que son más modernos. Los primeros se montaron en los motores 6B hasta abril de 2003 y los segundos, denominados "Top Hat", se empezaron a comercializar a partir de esa misma fecha.
